BRAC unveils women’s potentials in innovative education, others

The Executive Director, BRAC Institute of Educational Development, Dr Eram Mariam has said that women and girls have the potential of unlocking ‘global innovations’ in educational development programmes.
According to her, due to cultural reasons and inaccessibility issues; many girls drop out of school.

Mariam spoke on Tuesday to mark International Women’s Day in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
“Every day, we are inspired by women forging change in their homes, communities and across the globe,” she said, stating that when you invest in women, it enriches the world.
Besides, BRAC researches designs and scales up educational programmes that train women in the communities, noting that; “even if they don’t have the traditional qualifications.
She added that the well-being of communities across the globe lies in their hands.
