Buni dismisses Boko Haram threats on Damaturu residents, others

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, has dismissed the faked Boko Haram threats on Damaturu residents and their lives in the state capital.
Special Adviser on security matters to Buni, Brig-Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), in a statement, in Damaturu said, “The Boko Haram security threats on residents is a false claim of terrorists that they are moving towards Damaturu to attack people and their property.
He further disclosed that the terrorists’ threats tagged, “Immediate Security Alert on Residents” was a false claim that the insurgents are moving towards Damaturu, the state capital and it’s environs, comprising Maisandari and Kallalawa communities on Maiduguri and Gashua roads.
Abdulsalam described the security threats as, false and the work of mischief makers, despite the gradual return of peace with residents’ resilience.”
He, therefore, urged law abiding citizens to dismiss the security threats, and go about their businesses and farming activities without fear of being attacked.
He noted that the security threats of the terrorists, was to cause panic among members of publis, and it should be disregard by the residents and traveller.
