Buni flags off 179-km rural roads project to boost Yobe food security, employment

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has flagged off the construction of a 179-kilometre rural and agricultural marketing access (RAMA) road project.
According to him, the RAMA road project is to boost food security and employment of farmers in the state.
Buni, represented by the RAMA Project Coordinator Musa Suleh Damagum disclosed, “The construction of this 179-kilometre road commences from Garin Alkali to Mutai and Ngelzarma. communities, in the Bade, Gujba, and Fune Local Government Areas.
The farmer’s access road tagged: “The Farmers Green Line (FGL),” will serve farmers in the three senatorial districts in the state.
He said that the completion of the road project would provide farmers with marketing their produce to boost food security and employment.
RAMA The project coordinator said the 179 km RAMA road project was part of the state’s 500-kilometre road projects for infrastructural development initiatives in each of the 178 wards.
Damagum, therefore, commended Buni for joining the participating states to implement RAMA for the state’s agricultural and rural development.
