Buni orders investigations into Yobe slain cleric, Sheikh Aisami

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has ordered the investigation of the killing of Shiek Goni Aisami along the Hadejah-Gashua road in the state.
The cleric was alleged to have been shot dead, last Friday by two suspected soldiers of the 241 Recce Model Battalion, Nguru.
Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mohammed Mamman, and yesterday (Sunday), in Damaturu, disclosed: “Buni described the circumstances surrounding the death of Shiek Aisami, as sad, regrettable and most unfortunate to his family members,”

He, therefore, condoled the family members and the good people of Bade Local Council and the entire state.
“I am deeply saddened by the sad news of the death of Shiek Goni Aisami,” said the Governor, assuring that the unfortunate death of the cleric will thoroughly be investigated by the police and other security agencies
According to him, Government will ensure that every detail, is investigated and anyone found wanting, will face the full wrath of the law.
Besides, he added that the state government will work closely with the security agencies to unravel every detail to ensure justice is done.
“Government will continue to ensure crime is reduced to its barest level, while suspected criminals are punished accordingly,” he said, praying that God will grant the family, Bade Local Council and the people of the state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“May God grant Shiek Aisami paradise in heaven,” he said, urging the people to remain law, as investigations into the killing continue to a logical conclusion.
