Burnley wins the Championship and is promoted to the Premier League.
Burnley needed to win because Sheffield United still had four games left when they played on Tuesday. Burnley was nine points ahead of the Blades in second place.
The Clarets were able to break the score thanks to a brilliant second-half goal from Manuel Benson in a fierce game that featured a high tempo but saw few clear-cut chances for either team to score.
After the final whistle, tensions between certain players and both benches rose briefly, but they quickly subsided enough that Burnley could celebrate in front of their 2,000 supporters.
Following triumphs on Tuesday, Plymouth and Ipswich are now just one win away from sealing promotions to the Championship.
