Recently, the Minister of National Defense and Army Reconstruction, Rameaux-Claude Bireau, and a delegation of Central African military experts visited their Congolese counterparts, led by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans, Guy Kabambo Muadiamvita.
During the meeting, the defense chiefs discussed the evolving security environment along their shared borders, contributions to collective defense, and regional peace and stability. Rameaux-Claude Bireau emphasized the need for strong political commitment and significant investments in defense to ensure transboundary security and regional peace.
The two nations agreed to establish a joint strategy for securing their common borders and enhancing military cooperation for mutual protection. They also pledged to prevent destabilization from their territories, reaffirming their commitment to regional stability.
To solidify this cooperation, a joint commission comprising defense experts from both countries was established to finalize a defense cooperation agreement.
