The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has commended the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN’s consistent efforts, acknowledging the essential role of the media in shaping public perception. He reiterated the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s (AFN) commitment to a better Nigeria, expressing readiness to partner with FRCN to combat criminality.
General Musa gave the commendation when he received the Director General, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, and his management team at the Defence Headquarters today.
The meeting emphasized the significance of media collaboration in military operations and promoting national security.
The CDS emphasized his people-centric leadership philosophy, stressing the importance of public cooperation in achieving military objectives. He assured that the military will maintain professionalism, decorum, and adherence to the rule of law in defending democracy. General Musa highlighted the media’s critical role in correcting narratives and promoting truth.
Dr. Bulama praised the military’s patriotic contributions to sustaining democracy in Nigeria. He pledged FRCN’s support for the AFN’s non-kinetic approach to warfare and counter-terrorism efforts. The FRCN offered platforms for promoting non-kinetic strategies and countering radical ideologies.
