Church official urges youths to shun social vices
The Head of Youth Development Directorate of Apostolic Faith Church, Mr Olaniran Aderibigbe has urged the youth to imbibe the teachings of Christ and shun all social vices.
Aderibigbe made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja during the church’s annual youth concert, tagged “Singing around the throne”.
He said that people should embrace the Lord so that He will intercede to solve the country’s problems.
He said the concert was aimed at encouraging the youth to stay away from social vices, including banditry, kidnapping and ritual killing.
“They should consider God to get a permanent solution to all their problems.
“We intend to bring our youth together to shun negative vices,
let them be off the streets and be self-reliant.
“Through music and dancing, we have youths who have developed their talents and are into various businesses, some are ministers and artists.
“They were trained by the church and the youth are from different tribes to enhance oneness and unity,” he said.
One of the participants, Wisdom Emmanuel said he would love to develop his skills in gospel music and use them for evangelism.
