According to the commissioner, the command’s Monitoring Unit and X-squad have been marshalled across the length and breadth of the state to ensure sanity from the officers and men as they discharge their lawful duties in compliance with all standard operational procedures.
“In the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, citizens are advised to call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund,” she said.
In a similar development, the police in Yobe has advised residents to be security conscious, especially during the festive period.
ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Command’s Public Relations Officer gave the advice in a statement.
He advised the public to remain vigilant and to support security measures put in place to safeguard lives and property.
Abdulkarim urged other stakeholders such as the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Keke Napep Association, Traders, and Market Associations, among others, to assist security agents in their task of safeguarding the lives and property of residents.
While condemning the recent bomb attacks in Gashua and Geidam local government areas of the state, Abdulkarim said measures had been put in place to ensure that vulnerable places were secure.
The command reiterated its commitment to continue to fight crime.
The command also urged the general public to report all suspicious movements, persons, objects, or gatherings to the nearest formation for timely response.
