Embrace acts of charity, goodwill towards humanity – Buratai charges Nigerians

Former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has called on Nigerians, to embrace acts of charity and goodwill towards humanity.
Ambassador Buratai made the remarks while chairing the OurNigeria News Magazine’s 5th Awards Ceremony at the International Conference Centre Abuja.
Buratai emphasized the significance of these acts in paving the way for a better society, one characterized by lasting peace and flourishing economic activities.

Ambassador Buratai called upon the deserving awardees to deepen their commitment and dedication to the causes for which they had been chosen. He expressed his conviction that the award was a profound expression of gratitude and recognition for their invaluable service to humanity.
In his remarks, Publisher of OurNigeria News Magazine Dr MS Abubakar noted that the awards are a mark of appreciation, a resounding acknowledgment of the immense contributions made by each of the deserving recipients in service to the nation.
This year’s edition with the theme, “Providing a Podium for the Unsung Heroes,” is a testament to the noble intention of recognizing and honouring those exceptional individuals who have distinguished themselves in various fields.
The awardees spanned diverse sectors such as security, politics, academia, agriculture, technology, medicine, and countless other domains of human endeavour.
Prominent amongst them are; Oba Hammeed Makama Oyelude CON, for his strong advocacy on national unity and peaceful coexistence, Major General Victor Ezugwu for his foresight in the successful development of home-made combat support platforms for the Nigerian Army, Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Gold Chibuisi, and a host of others.
