FRSC hands over recovered stolen tricycle to owner in Yola
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adamawa Command, on Tuesday, handed over a tricycle recovered from a suspected thief by its personnel to the owner.
FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr Yelwa Dio, while handing over the tricycle to the owner in Yola on Tuesday, said that it was impounded seven months ago by the corps’ personnel during their routine operations.

Dio said that the rider, who stole the tricycle, ran away and abandoned it when he was stopped by the personnel on the road.
He said that nobody had come to claim the tricycle, a situation that prompted the corps to go through its database to trace the owner.
“We went through our database and discovered the real owner of the tricycle.
“He (the owner) confirmed to us that it was stolen and that he reported it to the police for investigation.
“This has shown that FRSC is not resting on its oars and trying to make sure all motorists comply with the rules and regulations,” he said.
The sector commander stressed the need for the public to report such cases to appropriate authorities, including FRSC, to aid in tracing any stolen tricycle or vehicle.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Abdul-jabbar Ibrahim, the owner, confirmed that the tricycle was stolen two years ago.
He appreciated the efforts of the FRSC in the recovery of his tricycle, which was eventually handed over to him.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Tricycle Association, Yola-North branch, Sagir Abdullhadi, expressed appreciation to the corps for a job well done.
According to him, this will further improve the synergy between FRSC and the people of the state as well as enhance better understanding of the importance of vehicle registration.
He called on the association’s members to always obey traffic rules and regulations and understand the roles of FRSC.
