Former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), has in a heartwarming display of compassion and respect, paid a condolence visit to the ‘Yar’adua family on Friday, September 6, 2024.
General Buratai, accompanied by dignitaries, visited the family home to offer his heartfelt condolences following the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Habiba Dada Musa ‘Yar’adua. He was warmly received by Senator Abdulaziz Musa ‘Yar’adua, Matawallen Katsina, and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, Alhaji Mustapha, and Major General Abubakar Adamu (rtd).
In that solemn moment, General Buratai offered prayers for the repose of Hajiya Dada’s soul, seeking Allah’s continuous blessings and protection over the family and her enduring legacy. He eulogized the late Hajiya Dada as a remarkable mother, whose legacy of strength, humility, and dedication to her family and community was truly exceptional.
General Buratai encouraged the family to take pride in her indelible mark on Nigeria’s history and to continue upholding her values. Senator Abdulaziz Musa ‘Yar’adua expressed profound gratitude to General Buratai for his presence and kind words, praising him as a true leader who has made immense contributions to national development, peace, and security.
General Buratai was accompanied by former Army Spokesman, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman Retd, Honourable Aminu Balele (Dan Area), and Alhaji Ibrahim Danfulani amongst other dignitaries.
