Gombe Governor commissions Hara Foam Factory, pledges to support company

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, on Saturday performed the official commissioning of Hara Foam Factory, a project solely constructed by an indigenous investor, Mr. Cosmos Ugwu.
In his speech, Gov. Yahaya said he was proud to be identified with the project, adding that it was in line with his administration’s agenda for
the rapid industrial development of Gombe State.

According to him, the commissioning of the Factory marks an important milestone in the local foam manufacturing industry not just to Gombe State but to Nigeria as a whole.
He said the project is also of great significance to the promotion of good health and household comfort as the Company is expected to manufacture sufficient products that will meet the
demand of the whole of North-Eastern States and beyond.
“It is on this note that I want to assure Hara Foam And Chemical Limited that the State Government will continue to support the company and other similar investors in our quest to promote economic activities in Gombe State,” he said.
The Governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment towards industrializing the State, adding that the government is currently at the peak stage in the process of actualizing the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park situated near Dadin Kowa.
According to Gov. Yahaya, the industrialization process of Gombe State coupled with the availability of uninterrupted Power and Water along the
Industrial Park site as well as the Airways operations, will soon turn Gombe State to an industrial hub of the North-Eastern region.
“We are also living witnesses of the coming on board of the Madugu Cement Factory in Gombe State. Government has recently engaged the services of Consultants in the Oil exploration activities in order to derive maximum benefits.
“This becomes necessary following the discovery of huge deposits of Hydro-Carbon which Gombe State is endowed with,” he added.
The Governor said his administration would also continue to accord greater priority towards the maintenance of Peace and Security through the
Ministry of Internal Security and Ethical Orientation.
The establishment of the Ministry, according to him, has contributed immensely in the peaceful coexistence of the people and the provision of an
enabling environment for business and commercial activities in the State which led Gombe to win the First Position in Ease of
Doing Business by the Presidential Committee on Enabling Environment for Business activities.

The Governor also disclosed that arrangement has been concluded to train Gombe State indigenes to engage in export business of Agricultural Products.
He called on the people of Gombe State to support Government in its efforts to turn the economic fortune of the State.
