Gombe Governor Hails Professor Yakubu’s Bingham University’s First Emeritus Professor

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has lauded the exceptional achievement of Professor Alhassan Mela Yakubu, a native of Billiri Local Government Area, as Bingham University’s first-ever Emeritus Professor.
Professor Yakubu, an accomplished academic in the field of pediatrics, received this honor in recognition of over three decades of groundbreaking contributions to education, research, mentorship, and community service.
Governor Yahaya described the milestone as a testament to Professor Yakubu’s dedication and brilliance, which reflect the intellectual and professional excellence inherent in Gombe State.
He commended the professor’s role as a trailblazer whose work has earned widespread acclaim both nationally and internationally.
