Gombe Governor Seeks Strategic Economic Synergy with FG, Meets Finance Minister Edun
In a bold move to fast-track Gombe State’s development agenda, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on Thursday paid a strategic visit to the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
The high-level engagement is part of the Governor’s ongoing consultations with key federal institutions aimed at aligning Gombe’s 10-year development blueprint, DEVAGOM, with national economic priorities.

During the meeting, Governor Yahaya and Minister Edun exchanged ideas on fostering fiscal innovation, enhancing access to sustainable financing, and promoting inclusive economic growth.
Their discussion centered on how Gombe can leverage federal economic reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to unlock fresh opportunities for sub-national transformation.
The Governor was joined by the Gombe State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Muhammad Gambo Magaji, and the Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Group, Engr. Aliyu Mohammed (Combat), reflecting a unified front to strengthen public-private collaboration for economic progress.
Governor Yahaya reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Gombe into a model state through proactive partnerships and visionary governance.
