Gombe Gov’t collaborates with MTN to provide mobile clinic
Gombe State Government has collaborated with MTN to provide mobile treatment van for market women and residents of the state.
Speaking during the handover of the van, Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, lauded the efforts of the private firm in prioritising the health of the people.

According to the Governor, the health sector is highly challenged, following the growing demands of the citizens.
He said, “I wish to thank you most profoundly on behalf of the people and government of Gombe State for this wonderful initiative. You are fully aware that the health sector in Nigeria is among those that are highly challenged. In terms of meeting the demands of our people, you are pursuing the cause for us to deliver quality healthcare to our people and it is worth appreciating.”
Speaking earlier, Commissioner of Health Dr Habu Dahiru, said this partnership would help the state cater for citizens’ health at both the primary and secondary level.
“Today marks a milestone in our quest to provide healthcare to the doorsteps of our people. The MTN yellow doctor was conceived with the view that communities be given the chance to receive basic healthcare, basic testing and immunisation,” Dahiru said.

On his part, Hanson Thliza, Senior Lead Sales and Trade Development of MTN, said this is part of the company’s effort at ensuring the development of the people, adding that it is a gesture geared towards the common good of residents.
He added that this is the third face of the organisation’s intervention in the wellbeing of the people of Nigeria.
