Gombe state Governor Commissions 30 New Buses
Gombe state Governor Muhammadu Inuwa has commissioned 30 new buses for Gombe State Transport Service (Gombe Line).
The governor also donated buses to 5 Mega schools, Gombe state Students Association (GOSSA), and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Monday at the Gombe lines Premises Gombe.
Inuwa said the new buses are in addition to the 50 new buses his government commissioned on the office’s inception to provide affordable, convenient, and reliable means of transportation to Gombe residents.

The governor said Gombe State Transport service plays a crucial role in physical integration and providing job opportunities for teeming youth hence the need for proper handling and investment in the sector.
He said the 80 buses would enhance service delivery and help connect Gombe to the outside world.
He added that his government has transformed the sector against its previous state and can now confidently finance its operations and expenses from its revenues.
Inuwa added that his administration had distributed 1000 Keke napep to unemployable youth to ensure affordable transportation across the state.
“Our ultimate target is to create a transport-sector support fund that will finance the provision of transport vehicles in our rural and urban areas. This initiative will help connect our rural farmers to the market, link our villages, towns, and cities, and expand inter-State transport.
He said, “Our administration is committed to continuing this financial discipline and prudence trajectory.
