Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has today officially flagged off Ndume Educational Support project in a brief occasion that took place at the El Kanemi hall, University of Maiduguri.
The event celebrated senator Mohammed Ali Ndume’s commitment to the education sector and his multifaceted contributions to his constituency.

Governor Zulum, known for his keen insight into the needs of the people he serves, acknowledged Senator Ndume’s noteworthy efforts in various spheres, including youth employment, empowerment, agriculture, the provision of clean water, and most notably, education. He lauded these contributions, emphasizing that such dedication should be the norm for every constituency.
Speaking through his deputy, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur, Governor Zulum praised Senator Ndume’s dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, in his contribution, expressed his firm belief in the transformative power of the support given to students in pursuit of their education.
He revealed ongoing efforts to expand the Ndume Educational Support program, underlining the need for substantial investments in education from the government and other key stakeholders. Senator Ndume acknowledged the commitment of the Zulum administration to the advancement of education within the state.
To highlight the program’s progress, he disclosed that twenty million Naira,two hundred thousand had already been disbursed, with beneficiaries set to receive their support on Monday.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, expressed his appreciation to Senator Ndume for his unwavering support of students from higher institutions.
He emphasized the critical role of education and the significant impact that the Educational Support initiative would have. Professor Shugaba called on other individuals of means to follow Senator Ndume’s example in contributing positively to the field of education.
The Coordinator of the Ndume Educational Support, Junaid Jibril Maiva, reflecting on the program’s origins, underscored that it was designed to assist the most-needy students. It aims to provide support for 1,100 students across the nine local governments of Borno South.
Each of the one hundred and one wards will have ten students pursuing higher education who will receive educational support of twenty thousand Naira each.
Some of the beneficiaries of the initiative expressed their profound gratitude to Senator Ndume and committed to using the funds for their intended educational purposes.
The event exemplified the profound impact of Senator Ndume’s unwavering dedication to education and the improvement of his constituents’ lives.
