Gov Zulum Loses Spokesman, Isa Gusau
Mallam Isa Gusau, the spokesman for Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has passed on.
Gusau, who was also the spokesman for the present Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, when he was the governor of Borno State, has been on admission at an Indian hospital for over a month now.
He took the final bow late Thursday in a specialist hospital in New Delhi after a protracted illness, according to a source who would not like to be quoted.

The source said: “We have lost Isa to the cold hands of death; he was unconscious for about three days. We were all praying for his recovery, but it was quite unfortunate that we lost him this evening in the hospital in New Delhi, India.”
Gusau was said to be actively involved in the publicity for the governor right from his sick bed in India, issuing statements to promote his boss.
There is yet no official confirmation of his death.
Gusau was one of the aides first appointed by Governor Zulum on being sworn in on 29 May 2019.
He had served in the same capacity with the incumbent Vice President Kashim Shettima when he was the Governor of Borno for eight years.
He was a Correspondent, Bureau Chief, Regional Editor and Deputy Editor with Daily Trust Newspapers.
