Governor Inuwa Pays Condolence Visit to Yobe State Over the Demise of Ex-Governor Bukar
In a solemn and heartfelt gesture, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led a delegation to Yobe State to express condolences following the passing of the first civilian governor of
Yobe State, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
The late Senator passed away last Saturday in Saudi Arabia after a brief illness.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, also the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, conveyed his sympathies on behalf of the 19 Northern Governors.
The visit was an opportunity to stand in solidarity with the government and people of Yobe State, as well as the family and associates of the late elder statesman.
Upon being received at the Government House in Damaturu by Governor Mai Mala Buni, Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed profound sorrow over the loss of a man he described as a father figure for the entire Yobe community.
He emphasised Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim’s unwavering commitment to public service and his enduring contributions to both Yobe State and Nigeria as a whole.
“The news of Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim’s demise hit us profoundly,” Governor Inuwa Yahaya stated. “His legacy will live on in the hearts of not only Yobeans, but all Nigerians.”
The grief shared by the late Senator’s family, associates, and the people of Yobe State during this difficult time was palpable. Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, would forgive any shortcomings of the deceased and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
The visit serves as a poignant reminder of the statesman’s enduring impact and the unity that transcends state boundaries during moments of loss and reflection.
