Governor Inuwa Vows for Enhanced Collaboration for Community Welfare as UNESCO-Japan Initiative Empowers Vulnerable Groups
In a resolute move towards fostering community welfare and sustainable development, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has pledged intensified collaboration with development partners.
This commitment was reiterated during the closing ceremony of the Japan-UNESCO project aimed at bolstering peacebuilding and resilience in north-east Nigeria through education, economic empowerment, and social change.
Governor Yahaya, represented by his deputy, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, highlighted the transformative strides made by the administration in revamping sectors such as education, health, and agriculture.

Emphasizing the significance of education, he underscored the administration’s dedication, including increased budgetary allocations, teacher recruitment drives, and the reintegration of over 400,000 out-of-school children.
Notably, the state’s efforts have yielded remarkable resul
