The National Equality and Justice Forum has expressed its appreciation for the sincere dedication and commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to fostering a peaceful and stable country.
The forum in a press statement specifically praised the recent media briefing held by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Chris Musa, with Defence Correspondents, citing it as a clear demonstration of the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to fulfilling their mandate.
President of the Forum, Elder Venatius Obi, and Secretary Mallam Gambo Shema, underscored in the press release that the media interaction showcased a CDS deeply devoted to the nation’s peace and the well-being of military personnel.
The National Equality and Justice Forum further highlighted the cohesive efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria under General Musa in addressing the country’s security challenges. Notably, the forum emphasized the successful operations of the troops in rescuing kidnapped victims, confronting unrepentant bandits and terrorists, and executing effective NAF air strikes to combat ISWAP terrorists and criminals across the nation.
Additionally, the forum acknowledged the Nigerian Navy’s commendable efforts in apprehending oil thieves and safeguarding the maritime domain.
The forum reiterated the CDS’s statement that securing Nigeria is a collective responsibility, emphasizing that all citizens have a role to play in ensuring national security.
The Forum affirmed its commitment to leveraging its platform to mobilize support and cooperation from all stakeholders in addressing the security challenges facing the country.
