Group trains 50 Bauchi women on detergent processing
A Bauchi-based group, Al-Anwar lslamic Foundation has trained 50 female students on detergent and household items processing to enhance social and economic status of women in the state.
The Facilitator, Mrs Sadiqa Bashir, said this during the one-day skills acquisition programme, on Saturday in Bauchi.

According to Bashir, the exercise seeks to impart relevant skills in detergent processing in the participants undergoing Islamic religious knowledge study at the center.
She said that such items could be produced for domestic or commercial purposes, and provide livelihood to cater for the family upkeep and other needs.
The gesture, she said, was part of an empowerment strategy towards promoting economic empowerment and self-reliance.
Bashir enjoined the participants to adhere to the safety guidelines in the production processes to guard against adverse chemical reactions.
“Use your personal protection equipment to prevent hazards that will endanger your health and skin.
“Ensure that you get the correct measures of items required for the detergents and other households items,” she said.
Also, the Head Teacher of the school, Auwal Haruna, said the foundation was working to equip the students with empowerment skills and new ideas, encourage innovations and strategies to boost economic empowerment besides the regular classes.
He said the programme would develop entrepreneurial skills to encourage good quality processing and packaging.
