IPAC commends INEC, voters for credible, peaceful election in Yobe

The Yobe state chapter of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the voters for a credible and peaceful Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
According to the Council, the concluded Saturday elections were devoid of violence and ballot box snatchings at the polls.
While applauding the Commission and voters, yesterday (Thursday), in Damaturu, IPAC’s Chairman, Comrd. Bala Muhammad disclosed: “We’re is here to address you on our candid, sincere and objective observations on the outcome of the general elections here in the state,”

Besides, he stated that the Commission has strictly adhered to the provisions of the 2022 Electoral Act during the Presidential and National Assembly, Governorship and Assembly elections in the state.
According to him, the conduct of political parties’ candidates and their supporters was also very peaceful throughout Governorship and Assembly elections.
He noted that the security agencies were also on ground in carrying out their duties to protect electoral materials and ad hoc staff.
His words: “They security personnel were also civil in carrying out their duties in various polling units across the state”.
“The media professionally covered the elections without “fear or favour” up to the collation of election results for declarations.”
