IPMAN: Direct Procurement from Dangote Refinery Could Lower Fuel Prices
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) announced that a new arrangement to procure Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) directly from Dangote Refinery could help reduce fuel prices across the country.
At a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, IPMAN National President Abubakar Garima explained that the agreement enables IPMAN to source PMS, diesel (AGO), and kerosene (DPK) directly from the refinery, with plans for consistent distribution to IPMAN storage and sales facilities nationwide. Garima emphasized that this collaboration is expected to ensure a reliable and affordable fuel supply for Nigerians.
“This new arrangement with the Dangote refinery will ensure a steady and uninterrupted supply of PMS across Nigeria at affordable prices,” Garima stated. “IPMAN members nationwide should rely on Dangote and Nigerian refineries for their products to support local job growth and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The initiative is also anticipated to positively impact Nigeria’s foreign exchange markets through enhanced local sourcing, reducing the need for imports and aligning with IPMAN’s goals of sustainable fuel distribution.
