Karai-Karai Retirees Applaud Governor Buni for Pension Increase
The Karai-Karai Retirees Association, Gamana Ma Isheni (GMI), Yobe State, has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for implementing a significant pension increase for retirees in the state.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Mallam Abubakar Usman Tikau, and Secretary, Malam Mu’azu Haruna Maje, the association expressed deep appreciation for the governor’s commitment to the welfare of pensioners.
“You are the first in Yobe State’s history to take such a magnanimous and compassionate step. This action reaffirms your administration’s dedication to the well-being of all citizens,” the statement read.
The retirees also congratulated Governor Buni on his election as Chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum, following Yobe State’s successful hosting of the forum’s meeting.
“We are confident that your leadership will foster trust, cooperation, and development across the region. May Almighty Allah guide you as you take on this important responsibility,” the group stated.
The association further praised Governor Buni’s leadership in driving developmental projects across the state since the return of democracy.
