According to an eye witness, Comr Gobina Abdullahi, the heavy-duty vehicle has been packed since yesterday evening at the scene of the incident after it was noticed that a section of it was leaking.
According to him, “The tanker fell last night, but had a little leakage which drew the attention of some people who started scooping the fuel from the ground”
He further said that “The tanker exploded today while trying to transfer the fuel to another tank although there were no casualty but many shops burnt down”.
At the time of this report, the flame is still increasing due to the non-availability of fire officers.
