According to the group, Matawalle’s inclusion showed President Tinubu’s commitment to harnessing competent Nigerians of all faith, ethnicity and age towards rescuing the country from underdevelopment that had denied citizens of the benefit of good governance.
Kabo said that Nigerians would feel the good impact of Matawalle’s addition after the Senate must have confirmed him as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We will say publicly that we have found Dr Matawalle, the then coordinator of the Tinubu Campaign Council in the North-west, very forthcoming and passionate about sharing our values, visions and strategies for dealing with issues that affect Northern interests on security, on our economy, and on the manner we as Northerners relate with fellow Nigerians.
“Dr. Matawalle’s pedigree as well as his contribution to the campaign for the election success of President Tinubu has given him an edge over many politicians in the Northwest.
“The joy that comes with Matawalle’s nomination for a national appointment is therefore ecstatic, the kind we would like to share with those Nigerians we care about and celebrate”
