MCFA, French scouts partner to pluck young football talents from 44 academies
In his series of commitments towards the career development of talented footballers in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer of Mailantarki Care Football Academy, Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki has sponsored a high-profile football scouting program in Nasarawa state.
The scouting program is in partnership with Racing Club De Lens of France, RC Lens Chief Scout in Africa Vincent Rodger Ciccada who led other foreign scouts to assess the participating young talents for possible transfer to the Ligue 1 side.
The five-day event has 44 football academies from across the country participating in the scouting tournament for possible signing to the Ligue 1 side.
In all, 704 talented youth from the 44 football academies from across the country are jostling to impress the French scouts and secure opportunities to make names for themselves and their families as well as Nigeria.
The tourney which is also in partnership with one of the finest FIFA licensed agents in Nigeria Babawo Muhammed is currently ongoing at the Tukur and Tukur Snakes Farm in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
The under 17 scouting programs which kick-started on Wednesday 19th will be rounded up on Sunday with a star game from the selected players chosen during the previous round of fixtures.
Mailantarki while briefing newsmen said football remained one of the biggest tools to harness for effective use talents in young ones as a way of helping them find their usefulness in life.
The football enthusiast stated that the ongoing scouting program would empower the young talents especially when they get a call up from Ligue 1 side.
