MNJTF kills nine ISWAP terrorists in Borno

Troops of the Sector 4, Multination Task Force (MNJTF) have bombarded a hideout of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, killing nine of them in Bulabulin of Mobbar local council in Borno state.
According to MNJTF, an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) footages provide the critical evidence, confirming the presence of terrorists in the Bulabulin border axis with Niger.
A counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Malam Zagazola Makama, yesterday (Saturday), disclosed: “Following the validation of IRS, the troops swiftly responded with a decisive artillery bombardment of the ISWAP terrorists.”

He noted that the intensity of the explosions reverberated through the area, signaling a critical operation was successful.
A military source, in Maiduguri, confirmed that nine lifeless bodies were also recovered on July 22, 2023 at the scene of battle field.
On the state of hideouts, the source said: “The ferocity of the onslaught left the hideout in ruins, with the entire camp turned to ashes, after plumes of smoke in the sky,” adding that some of the terrorists fled towards the Lake.
