The Headquarters 7 Division Operation HADIN KAI has refuted as false a publication by Sahara Reporters on June 12, 2024, alleging that soldiers at the Maimalari Military Cantonment were suffering due to lack of electricity, water, and social amenities.
In a statement released on June 13, 2024, Lieutenant Colonel AJEMASU JINGINA, Deputy Director Army Public Relations, clarified that the report was “false and malicious.”
The Cantonment, he emphasized, enjoys regular electricity and water supply, supplemented by boreholes and maintenance by the Cantonment Maintenance Group.
The Nigerian Army assured that troops and the public should disregard the publication, which aims to discredit the leadership of Operations HADIN KAI and cause disaffection among soldiers. The Army urged troops to remain disciplined and steadfast in their duties, restoring peace in the region.
This statement sets the record straight, dispelling misinformation and reaffirming the Army’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel.
