Nigerian Troops Neutralize Terrorists in Borno Ambush

In a recent operation in Borno State, Nigerian troops engaged in counter-terrorism efforts have successfully ambushed and exterminated two terrorists while recovering a cache of arms and ammunition. The operation, which took place in Mashurori Village and was conducted in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, led to a significant blow against the terrorist group.
Acting on intelligence regarding an impending attack on the village, the troops strategically positioned themselves to intercept the terrorists. The ambush resulted in a fierce firefight, during which the soldiers were able to eliminate two terrorists. The recovered items included two AK-47 rifles, two magazines, 58 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a motorbike believed to have been used by the terrorists for their operations.

Furthermore, the troops also seized levy tickets and a sum of sixty thousand naira (₦60,000:00) in cash, suspected to be linked to the terrorists’ illicit extortion activities. This successful operation showcases the dedication and effectiveness of the Nigerian Army in combating terrorism in the region. The recovered weapons and materials will undoubtedly disrupt the terrorists’ ability to carry out further attacks and help enhance the security situation in Borno State.
