Northern Governors Forum Mourns Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

The Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, has expressed his deep condolences on the demise of Dr. Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State, who peacefully passed away at the age of 94.
This is contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe on Sunday.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya conveyed the collective grief of Northern Governors as they lamented the loss of the distinguished first-class monarch.
According to the statement, Dr Ado Ibrahim was not only a man of peace but an exceptional leader, known for his unwavering dedication to fostering unity, harmony, and understanding among his people.
“Dr. Ado Ibrahim’s reign witnessed tremendous progress in his domain, leaving an indelible mark on the traditional and cultural heritage of the Ebira people. He was a cerebral leader of uncommon wisdom, humility and integrity.

“The late monarch’s legacy of peace, honour, unity, and the preservation of cultural heritage will continue to inspire and guide the Ebira race, the Northern region and Nigeria as a whole for generations to come,” the Governor was quoted as saying.
According to him, the legacy of Dr Ado Ibrahim, characterized by peace, honour, unity, and the preservation of cultural heritage, is set to be a lasting source of inspiration and guidance for the Ebira community, the entire Northern region, and the nation as a whole for generations to come.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and, through him, to the government, people of Kogi State, and the entire Ebira community as they mourn the loss of a beloved leader and cultural icon.
The Governor urged the late monarch’s family to uphold his legacy of honour and dignity and ensure the continued influence of his enduring contributions.
Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum concluded by offering prayers, seeking Almighty Allah’s forgiveness for the late monarch’s shortcomings and beseeching Him to reward Dr. Ado Ibrahim’s exemplary deeds with a place in Aljannat Firdaus.
