NYSC Deploys 1,600 Corps Members to Bauchi for Orientation
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 1,600 corps members to Bauchi State for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 orientation exercise, set to begin on Nov. 27.
The Bauchi State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi. She revealed that registration for the prospective corps members would take place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 29, with the orientation exercise running until Dec. 17.
Yakubu emphasized that all corps members must present valid credentials to gain entry into the camp, as rigorous screening will be conducted to prevent impersonation or intrusions.
“Registration dates have been communicated to the corps members, and they are advised to strictly adhere to all camp rules and regulations. Defaulters will face sanctions in line with the scheme’s guidelines,” she stated.
She also warned against late-night travel, advising prospective corps members to prioritize their safety and avoid risky journeys.
The coordinator further urged participants to be punctual, diligent, and comply with the camp’s dress code, noting that violations would attract penalties.
The NYSC remains committed to ensuring a secure and organized orientation process for all deployed corps members.
