Okuama killings: Nigerian Army Releases Surrendered Traditional Ruler

The Nigerian Army has released the traditional ruler who was previously declared wanted in connection to the horrific killing of 17 soldiers in Delta State on March 14, 2024.
Initially wanted by the Defence Headquarters along with seven others for their alleged involvement in the tragic incident, the traditional ruler was granted release. Senator Ede Dafianone, the representative of the zone, acted as a surety for his release.
The release took place at the Army Headquarters during a brief ceremony presided over by Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.
General Nwachukwu emphasized the importance of individuals surrendering themselves for due process, assuring them that they would be treated in accordance with the law to uphold justice.
