Old students of BACAS to host first reunion meeting in Bauchi

All is now set for the maiden edition of reunion meeting of former students of Bauchi State College of Arts and Science (BACAS), which is scheduled to hold on Monday 27th December, 2021 in the ancient city of Bauchi, the State Capital.
A press statement signed by the Chairman, organizing committee, Brigadier General Umar Gital said that arrangement has reached 90 percent towards hosting the event that is going to attract old students of the institution, from within and outside the country.

The statement said that the objective of the Reunion meeting is to, among other things, midwife the old students forum, which hitherto, was non existent, and also create an avenue where former students will meet to share fond memories of their yesteryears amidst fanfare and pageantry.
The statement further informed that the reunion meeting, being the first in the history of the institution that dates back to over 50 years ago, will be a rallying point for former students to explore avenues on how to add value to their alma-mater and also lend a helping hand to humanity in general.
The statement quoted General Gital as saying, “what started as a social media platform with very few old students, has now blossomed into a huge group of very important personalities that can be found across all strata of human endeavours”.

“It gladdens our hearts to note that old students of BACAS have heed to the clarion call for the Maiden Edition of the Reunion Meeting by demonstrating their support through cash and kind. The organizing committee are really very excited about hosting the meeting and we are also assuring those attending that, it will be more than worth their while”, said Gital.
Our correspondent reports that some old students will be celebrated on their recent elevation in their respective careers within and outside the state during the Reunion.
