Police Neutralize Two Bandits in Bauchi State
The Bauchi State Police Command has reported the neutralization of two bandits in the Gwana district of Alkaleri Local Government Area.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Wakil, the operation was carried out by officers from the Alkaleri Divisional Police Headquarters in collaboration with local hunters. This joint effort aimed to bolster security in the Gwana District and its neighboring border regions with Taraba, Plateau, and Gombe States.
During a surveillance mission in the Dajin Madan Forest, the team encountered suspected bandits. In the ensuing confrontation, two bandits were neutralized, while others fled with gunshot wounds. The police recovered an AK-49 rifle and nine rounds of live ammunition from the scene.
CSP Wakil reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property. He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
