Ramadan Tafsir: Council tasks clerics on moderate preaching in Adamawa
The Muslim Council of Nigeria, Adamawa chapter, has called on Muslim clerics to moderate their teachings of the holy Qur’an during the month of Ramadan.
Malam Gambo Jika, the state Chairman of the council, made the appeal during an interview with newsmen on Friday in Yola.
He said it was important to abide by the teachings of the Qur’an as propagated by Prophet Muhammad rather than propagating selfish ideas.

Jika said the month of Ramadan is a month of blessing and joy, hence the need for everyone to seek forgiveness and assist one another for more blessings from Almighty God.
He called on wealthy individuals to support the course of preaching, help orphans, and the less privileged for more rewards.
Jika further called on people of the state to be law abiding and shun any form of violence.
On the governorship election in the state that was declared inconclusive, the cleric advised the party faithful to be calm or seek redress with the understanding that power comes from God.
