Tijjani urged them not to sale the commodity made up of food and non-food items, adding that each family will get a bag of rice, carton of spaghetti, semovita, cooking oil and mosquito net, among other items.
He lauded the Borno Government and other partners for their commitment in the management of IDPs and refugees, and assured them of sustained collaboration from NCFRMI.
Responding on behalf of Borno government, the Director Operation of the Borno Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA), Mr Abdullahi Suleiman, who took the commissioner on tour of affected areas in the camp, commended the support from NCFRMI.
He said the gesture came as a big relief to the government and those affected by the inferno.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NCFRMI commissioner, who was on a two-day visit to Borno, also visited the commission’s Resettlement City project for IDPs at Amarwa village in Konduga LGA.
He was also at the UN Refugee Commission (UNHCR) Sub Office in Maiduguri where he discussed with the Head of Office, Mr Mohamadou Guindo, on reviving the voluntary repatriation of Nigerian refugees in Cameroon.
