After the meeting of experts, the ministers of the Sahel States Alliance (SSA) are gathered Thursday, in Ouagadougou under the leadership of the three delegation heads: Brigadier General Kassoum COULIBALY, Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, head of the Burkina Faso delegation; Colonel Abdoulaye MAIGA, Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, head of the Mali delegation; and the Minister of National Defense, Lieutenant General Salifou MODI, head of the Niger delegation.
The present meeting, which brings together around twenty ministers from the three countries, including the Burkinabe Foreign Minister, Karamoko Jean Marie TRAORE, aims to revisit the Charter of the Sahel States Alliance and to develop a treaty establishing a Confederation comprising the three countries: Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.

The meeting in Ouagadougou should also allow the various delegations from the three countries to examine the political context, marked by the historic decision of Burkina, Mali, and Niger to immediately withdraw from ECOWAS.
This withdrawal offers a new opportunity to achieve real brotherhood, real solidarity, and real integration, without any interference or manipulation.
