Terrorism: Zulum donates N30m to family of slain Army officer

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has donated N30 million to the family of Lt-Col. Thomas Ebisingha Alari in the state.
According to him, the Army officer was killed in the ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the Timbuktu Triangle of Sambisa Forest.Presenting the donation personally over the weekend, in Maiduguri, Zulum said, “I extend my condolences to the family of Lt-Col. Alari and others, who have paid the supreme price for restoring peace in the state.”
He stated that the state government sent a delegation for the funeral of slain Army officer on Friday. Additionally, he said that there was the need to personally extend my condolences on behalf of the government and people of the state.
Zulum continued, “Let me also extend my condolences to the families of all those killed in the cause of the fight against Boko Haram terrorism in the state and Northeast. “We’re also presenting a token of N30 million for the families’ immediate needs, including the purchase of a house.”I was informed that the late Army officer does not own a personal house.
The governor, therefore, assured that the state government will continue to provide support to the families of the fallen heroes, who sacrificed their lives in defending the country and its citizens.
The presentation of the window’s mite was made on Saturday before the Theatre Commander, Maj-Gen. Waidi Shuaibu, and Sector 2 Commander, Maj-Gen. Chieiebere Ejike.
Other dignitaries at the presentation included Deputy Chief of Staff Babagana Mallumbe, Permanent Secretary Government House Mustapha Busuguma, Sen. Kaka Shehu Lawan, and National Assembly members Bukar Talba and Ahmed Usman Njaha. Yahoo Mail: Search, Organise, Conquer
