Theatre commander tasks troops to end war in Northeast
The Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Maj-Gen. Christopher Musa, has tasked troops to be professionals in the counter-terrorism operations in the Northeast.
Musa gave the charges, yesterday, while addressing troops in Damasak, a border Community with Niger Republic.

Damasak, had been severally attacked by Boko Haram, despite the return of over 600 households by the Borno State Government.
He said that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, was a onetime theater commander and conversant with the terrains of Sambisa Forest and Lake Chad region, the twin hibernating areas of insurgency.

He, therefore, urged the troops to take the fight to the forest and region, as Yahaya has provided all the resources needed to prosecute to end this war.
“You must reciprocate by using all the equipment professionally to end terrorism this year,” he declared.
