Tributes as Pa James Obeya is Laid to Rest in Okpoga

Okpoga, in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, was agog Thursday, as the late Pa James Obeya, patriarch of the renowned Obeya dynasty, was bid a heartfelt farewell by a multitude of mourners who gathered to pay their respects and honour his legacy of compassion and service.
Pa James Obeya, a revered nurse known for his dedication to caring for others, was celebrated for a life well-lived and marked by selfless acts of kindness.
Witnesses recalled his remarkable ability to treat all individuals with equal respect and care, regardless of their background or status.

President of Williams Obande Foundation, Chief Williams Obande who described the late Pa Obeya as a beacon of compassion, noted that, his impact in the field of nursing was far-reaching, extending beyond mere medical treatment to encompass a deep commitment to saving lives and promoting the well-being of his community.
In addition to his contributions to healthcare, Pa James Obeya was also remembered for his passion for music, keen interest in history, global events, love for sports, and profound sense of humanity. His multifaceted interests and deep knowledge enriched the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Among those who graced the occasion are the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Mrs Lami Danladi Ogenyi, The Chairman Ado Local Government Hon Onazi Agbese, the Vice Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government, Hon Akor Emmanuel, Hon Collins Agida and a host of other dignitaries.
