Troops neutralise over two dozen Boko Haram terrorists in Borno

The troops of 112 Battalion and 24 Task Force Brigade, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have neutralised over two dozen Boko Haram terrorists in the Mafa-Dikwa axis of Borno state.
The insurgents were killed during a coordinated fighting patrol with members of the Civilian JTF on December 3, 2022.
A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, yesterday (Sunday), in Maiduguri, disclosed that; “The terrorists hibernating in Sambisa Forest were all killed in Bulakulari, Gwari-gwazo, Loskori, Limanti and Gaza villages of the Forest.”

He added that the villages were used to attack troops and other law-abiding citizens along the 40-kilometer Maiduguri-Ngwom-Maiduguri road.
Besides the neutralisation, the troops also captured 40 bicycles and other weapons used to attack some of the military bases and communities.
“Troops made sure that the entire area were cleared of all suspected terrorists elements,” he said
