Troops repel ISWAP night attack in Borno

The troops of Sector 3 Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have repelled attack by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the North East of Kukawa in the northern part of Borno State.
It was gathered that the ISWAP fighters who came from the axis of Arinna Maimasalaci with hilux trucks and heavy weapons, attacked Mosquito Camp military base located around Mile 90 between Cross and Monguno town on the early morning of Thursday Oct. 19, 2023.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack triggered a heavy gun battle with the troops which lasted for about one hour.
The troops successfully repelled the attack with support from troops reinforcements from kukawa.
Zagazola has reported how the troops of 3 Battalion Operation Hadin Kai, have repelled a similar attack by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) attack on Gamborun Ngala, with the terrorists suffering heavy defeat.
No casualties on the side of the troops in both encounters.
