TY Buratai Academy emerges winner of Buratai’s Zaman Lafya Cup
Former chief of Army staff Lt.Gen Tukur Buratai (rtd) says he will refrain from reneging on promoting youthful activities by empowering young adults to discover their talents to be future champions.
Buratai made the promise at the final of the fifth edition of the Zaman Layfa Cup of Lt.Gen.T.Y. Buratai (rtd) on Saturday.
The former COAS said he initiated the competition to discover hiding talents and empower the young stars to realise their dreams.
The match was between TY Buratai Academy ( Borno) and Roma selection F.C ( Hausari), played at the police ground, Maiduguri.
TY Buratai Academy emerged as the champions of the 5th edition of the Zaman Lafya tournament as they outclassed their opponent by one goal to nil.
The explosive encounter witnessed many dignitaries mesmerised by the mastery of TY Buratai’s team, who arguably deserved to be the tournament champion.
