United States Air War College Participants Visit DHQ, Pledge Partnership

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja welcomed participants from the United States Air War College on a study tour yesterday, February 27, 2024. The event, held at the Armed Forces Complex, featured discussions on military cooperation and security efforts between the two nations.
Representing the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, Brigadier General Ismail Oloyede assured the American visitors of a memorable stay in Nigeria. He commended the United States Government for supplying Nigeria with Super Tucano aircraft, highlighting their significant impact in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

General Oloyede called for enhanced information and intelligence sharing between the United States and Nigeria to bolster security measures and combat insecurity in the region.
Colonel John Gunter, the leader of the visiting delegation, expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the DHQ. He emphasized that the study tour aimed not only to discuss military operations and challenges in Nigeria but also to address global security concerns.
Colonel Gunter pledged continued American support and partnership with Nigeria in intelligence sharing and overall security efforts. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between the two countries to create a safer and more peaceful world.
