Wike visits scene of collapsed building, insists structures without approval will go down

Newly appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike visited the scene of a collapsed building in Garki II Abuja on Thursday.
Recall that a two-storey building, housing many business centres went down amidst heavy downpours at Lagos Street in the Garki village area of the Garki II district around 10 p.m. on Wednesday

Addressing journalists at the incident scene on Thursday morning, Wike reiterated his earlier comment that buildings without proper approval within the nation’s capital would be pulled down.
“This is what we are saying: any building without approval will go down.
“We don’t hate anybody. All we are saying is the proper thing should be done,” he said.
