Yahaya Hails Army’s Contribution to Gombe Peace
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has emphasized that the security of lives and property of the citizenry remains paramount in his administration. He pledged to continue working assiduously to safeguard this fundamental aspect.
Yahaya made these statements during a meeting with the newly posted Commander, 301 Field Artillery Regiment Gombe, Col. Musa S. Ahmed, along with the immediate past Commander, Col Abiah O. Ndah.
In his formal welcome to the new Commander, Governor Inuwa assured him of the State Government’s unwavering support to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies. He expressed his commitment to combating security challenges and maintaining the prevailing peace and tranquility in Gombe State.

During the meeting, the Governor commended the 301 Field Artillery Regiment Gombe for its role in bolstering the state’s security initiatives and ensuring peace and stability across the region. He also praised the Nigerian Army in general for upholding professionalism on duty and pledged to sustain the partnership and cordial relationship with them in their efforts to combat crimes and criminality.
Governor Inuwa expressed his gratitude to the immediate past Commander, Col Ndah, for his services to Gombe State and his significant contributions to maintaining security during his tenure. He wished him success in his new assignment.
In response, the new Commander, Col Ahmed, urged for the continued support and cooperation of the government and people of Gombe State to the Nigerian Army. He highlighted the Nigerian Army‘s integral role in the state’s security architecture and expressed his determination to work in synergy with the state government and sister-agencies to maintain peace and order.
Also present at the meeting was the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
