Yobe Governor Consoles Gurjaji Village over Attacks, Vows to Tackle Insecurity

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, expresses condolences to the people of Gurjaji in the Fika local government area following a recent attack on their community. The governor emphasized that the heightened security measures in the area are proving effective, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the government, security agencies, and vigilante groups.
Governor Buni assured the public that every effort will be made to pursue and neutralize the intruders, and he expressed confidence that they will be defeated with the help of divine intervention. The attackers reportedly set houses and food stores ablaze upon entering Gurjaji.

In response to the crisis, the governor has instructed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide vital relief materials to the victims of the attack, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting the affected community.
